PFW S/S 2013: Outfit

Thursday, November 1, 2012

tumblr_mchdogXGX81qm8977
I didn't feel like getting super dolled up and over accessorizing that day so I chose this tropical printed dress then paired it with the basic black clutch and heels. Just to incorporate some blings into my outfit, I wore rhinestone bracelets and a gold spike bracelet.

Yes, a no brainer outfit but I was satisfied on how it turned out.
What do you guys think??

PFW S/S 2013: SM Men's Fashion Show

Fashion shows are bizarre.
Not the bad weird. The good weird.
The one that makes you fall in line without even complaining.
The one that makes you wear five inch heels even if you know that you're a clumsy woman.
And oh yes, the one that makes you act all prim and proper when you are really up for some intense fangirling.

Last week, I was so lucky to experience that 'good weird' of fashion shows. I, along with Xavier, attended the SM Men's Fashion Show at the SMX Convention Center. I haven't attended a men's fashion show before so attending this one feels like a breath of fresh air.

I was so fascinated by this rainbow-ombre' trend going on.

Color accented suits and polos seems to be very 'in' next season.

Congratulations to all the designers during the show! An amusing show indeed!

How's your fashion show experience? Share them to me!

What I wore for the SM Ladies Fashion Show.
Talk about late posts. :| I was suppose to post this yesterday but I was hooked on watching the CJ Corona Trial and the next thing I knew, it was already dinner time. What do you guys think about the senator judges' decisions? Do you agree?

Setting politics aside and putting the spotlight on fashion, my outfit is made up of the first gold-beige-nude pieces I found in my wardrobe. I knew I wanted to wear that scarf printed top so due to the lack of time for preparation, I just grabbed the gold accessories and clothing pieces that can match with it.

How can someone not love scarf prints? I find it impossible.

My sister's style is pretty obvious. Give her the simple basics and classy accessories and she's ready to go.

I love her gold belt! I wanna keep it for myself. I'll probably sneak in her closet tonight.

But you do know I'm just kidding, right? Right? haha

PFW Day 2: SM Ladies X Parisian X GTW

Monday, May 28, 2012

My favorite show for the brands category!
Everything was just so vibrant and colorful, it makes you feel like you're a kid wanting all the yummy candies aka 'the clothes by SM'.
Trends that stood out: flowy dresses, colorful wedges, bright-colored pencil skirts, scarf prints and glittered tops!

PFW Day 1: The Ramp Crossings

Sunday, May 27, 2012

May 22, 2012 marks the first day of the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012.
I consider myself lucky for being able to score a ticket for the The Ramp Crossings fashion show. Fashion trends that stood out are: paisley printed dresses, architectural heels and neon-colored skirts. To be quite honest, I wasn’t impressed by the entire collection. It wasn’t a heartbeat-speeding-up show. However, putting in mind the Ramp Crossings brand, they represent sophistication and functionality. It may not be a glorifying show to watch at the runways but at the end of the day, it’s what people will wear at work, corporate events, and business meetings. It’s all that matters, isn’t it?

Thank you The Ramp Crossings for the tickets!

More Philippine fashion week posts soon!

What I wore for the first day of the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012 Collection.

I was starting to panic the night before the fashion show. I had no idea on what to wear.
The word LBD came into my mind. They say the LBD always saves the day! And it really did save the day for me!
I pulled out the little black dress that I got from Bangkok then thought of a way to add a little twist. The mullet skirt came to the rescue in the adding-the-twist part of my outfit preparation. I knew I wanted to have a 'tribal queen' look. I knew that I have to wear a tribal statement necklace and a gold tassel belt to complete the look but I had no time to buy the belt so I guess my look no longer says 'queen'. *sobs* (arteeeee 101)

My way of supporting Filipino-made products! Bought the necklace from Kultura. You guys should also check out Kultura. They have a lot of interesting pieces on display.

Fail attempt to make my skirt all flowy. haha

After PFW: The Vintage Ballerina

Friday, November 4, 2011

After The Ramp Crossings show, there's no time to waste! Outfit post na! hihi
Crammed my whole outfit  an hour before going to SMX. I initially wanted to wear a kimono-style robe paired with a bandage skirt but discovered that my robe isn't ironed yet. Talk about wrinkled clothes. huhu
So I decided to wear something else, came up with this 'vintage ballerina' look.
Sana lang na-gets ang concept ng look na 'to hihi
Wanna thank my loves, Sarah and Rich for coming with me!
Can't thank you enough :>
