You Can't be the YES Girl

Monday, June 4, 2012

I realized that I have a gazillion photos sleeping in my laptop for weeks now. What better way to deal with them than to unleash them in cyberspace?
I remember this day, clearly. It was the busiest day of my entire year...so far.
Marketing Internship + Cousin's Play in Pasay + College group meeting in Pasig + Fashion Week Day 1 in Pasay. Yes back and forth, back and forth. Seems exciting? At first, yes, felt like a busy lady in the city (ohh yeah it rhymes!) but I ended up feeling like a hot-headed fool. The fool who said YES to everything. I remember giving myself a self-note before hitting the sheets that night.
"I can no longer be the YES girl. Prioritize, prioritize, prioritize. My mantra for the rest of the year".

What I wore for the SM Ladies Fashion Show.
Talk about late posts. :| I was suppose to post this yesterday but I was hooked on watching the CJ Corona Trial and the next thing I knew, it was already dinner time. What do you guys think about the senator judges' decisions? Do you agree?

Setting politics aside and putting the spotlight on fashion, my outfit is made up of the first gold-beige-nude pieces I found in my wardrobe. I knew I wanted to wear that scarf printed top so due to the lack of time for preparation, I just grabbed the gold accessories and clothing pieces that can match with it.

How can someone not love scarf prints? I find it impossible.

My sister's style is pretty obvious. Give her the simple basics and classy accessories and she's ready to go.

I love her gold belt! I wanna keep it for myself. I'll probably sneak in her closet tonight.

But you do know I'm just kidding, right? Right? haha

What I wore for the first day of the Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012 Collection.

I was starting to panic the night before the fashion show. I had no idea on what to wear.
The word LBD came into my mind. They say the LBD always saves the day! And it really did save the day for me!
I pulled out the little black dress that I got from Bangkok then thought of a way to add a little twist. The mullet skirt came to the rescue in the adding-the-twist part of my outfit preparation. I knew I wanted to have a 'tribal queen' look. I knew that I have to wear a tribal statement necklace and a gold tassel belt to complete the look but I had no time to buy the belt so I guess my look no longer says 'queen'. *sobs* (arteeeee 101)

My way of supporting Filipino-made products! Bought the necklace from Kultura. You guys should also check out Kultura. They have a lot of interesting pieces on display.
