Urban Tribe

Sunday, May 20, 2012

Here's what I wore yesterday for the BDJ event and for a group meeting at the Fort.
It's fairly simple. I wore a red ribbed tank top and a black frilly vest. IMG_4968
The tribal necklace made it kinda interesting.  It's my sister's actually. She bought it from Bangkok but I ended up owning it cause she said it was 'too much' for her. She said it would only be wearable for 'bloggers'. Well, what can I say, my sister is the epitome of practicality and simplicity.

On the other note, thank goodness I have my emergency flats with me or else I wouldn't have survived all the sneaky running in the rain! So thank you again, emergency fashion fairy godmother (whoever you might be) for reminding me to bring extra flats.
Photos about the BDJ event, up next!

Fortune Teller

Friday, May 4, 2012

I look like a fortune teller.
Well if I don't look like one, the turban makes me believe that I do. Blame the turban!

This is what I wore on the drive home from Tagaytay to Manila. It was insanely hot outside but cause I'm always odd/weird, I still opted to wear a long sleeved top and jeans. That wasn't even the end of the story! I even wore a turban! I only realize it now how crazy I was. The people that I came across with were wearing shorts, tank tops and summer dresses and here I was wearing an all warm outfit as if it's winter.

P.S. We're planning to put up a The Bling Project  physical store real soon! We're now on a store location hunt so if you guys have any location suggestions, leave a comment below or send an email to theblingproject@yahoo.com. I and the 'bling blings' would really appreciate it.

Monday Traffic Rush

Monday, April 23, 2012

Who here hates the dreadful traffic in Manila during Mondays? Raise your hand up!

I wasn't surprised when I heard that Manila was named the 3rd worst city for driving. As much as I want to whine, rant and blame the government, I know it wouldn't change anything. Our country's dilemma in traffic congestion can't be solved overnight so I guess I should start getting used to 5am wake up calls just so I can make it to my 7:30am class. At least I can always witness the beautiful sunrise almost every single morning. And that's what I call looking at the bright side! haha
So basically, this what I wore to school today. We had a presentation for our management class so we had to dress up in our business attire. I chose a dark slate green button-down blouse paired with a sienna pencil skirt. I was using my black bag from Naraya the entire week, last week and I was in a such a hurry awhile ago that I didn't bother changing into a different bag. Surprisingly enough, my top, skirt and bag has the same color palette with my wedges -- orangey brown, dark green and black. Cool beans!

Have a great week!
